Remark: the French title uses the plural form, which doesn't appear in the translated one (it's literally "The ones with no codes").

So presumably the LW will lose all their remaining codes in that episode.

Well "The Codeless" is plural too, but I'd say if not all the warriors it'll probably be some of them. Aelita has the least, so possibly her.

Unless I'm wrong it's ambiguous: it can designate either one ore several people.

Yes you're correct. I just personally see a more plural context in the name, than singular.

I think one could make the argument that it could be singular, but it largely implies plurality.
Consider the English "the homeless", for example.

No. When that happens, XANA "takes control of the network" (whatever it means), that's all.

I'm just guessing but what if it's referring to William who didn't have any code to begin with?

That was Odd's imagination running wild. Although you gotta wonder whether the weird side effects they got in previous episodes (hallucinations, deafness, blurry vision, unable to speak right) were because XANA or because of the codes they lost...
